SARAH + BRAD | BELOVED COUPLE

A M A Z I N G !!

An afternoon spent with this ‘Loved Up’ couple was such an honour for me.  Sarah is an energetic Mum, Wife, Administration Officer, Secretary, Personal Assistant, Chef & Taxi Driver (aren’t we all ?)  And Brad is a passionate Father, Husband, Farmer,  Primary Producer, Business Manager, Team Coordinator, Household Handyman & Mechanic (just the usual stuff).  But still, despite all the ‘busy’ in their lives, they are very much in love & make time to spend with each other and their growing family.  The respect they have for each other is obvious to any passer-by.   But for me to be invited into their home and be privy to some of their most intimate thoughts & feelings was both humbling and very special.

The ‘Featured Image’ has been left in colour on purpose – I just prefer it that way! I love this shot…I could have cropped out the swing set in the background but I think by having it there, it better tells the story of who these people are – Highschool Sweethearts, Lovers, Husband & Wife, Parents….

Thank you guys for sharing with me these moments, so I could give them back to you in pictures;  for letting me in, for accepting my invites and for embracing the experience.  But especially for giving me the valuable gift of your time & attention for one precious Summer Afternoon…..

THE MIFSUDS | BELOVED FAMILY

I was commissioned this weekend to take family portraits of a stunning little  family at “Undara Downs”, QLD – my pleasure!!  This was a fantastic opportunity for me to continue steadying myself on sometimes shaky feet, as I found these guys to be very supportive and cooperative guinea pigs – The Perfect Muses!  I had stacks of fun and I hope they did too.

We settled in with some fun invites and the momentum, joy, adoration and love flowed freely all afternoon.  I tried to stay true to my style of ‘keeping it real’ and by doing so,  I think I’ve captured unique moments, happy hearts and smiling eyes.

These four little Heartbreakers, (who take after their parents) are going to keep The Folks busy in their teens, that’s for sure!  Enjoy….   xo

BOY OR GIRL ??

Tonight, it worked out that DD#2 and I had the table to ourselves for a late Dinner Date.  All the other Team Members were busy doing their own things – Showers, Christmas Parties, Sleeping.  The conversation went a little like this……

DD#2:   I made a new friend at Kindy today Mummy called Rhys.  Rhys is meant to be a boy like Blake & Rhys (*cousins*) but this one was a girl ‘cos I checked Mummy…..

ME:  *momentarily panick stricken/imagining every possible inappropriate/traumatising scenario for poor “Reece”*  What do you mean, ‘you checked?’

DD#2:  I checked she had flowers on her shoes Mummy!!

PHEW!!

BUBBLE WITCH SAGA

For anyone who is familiar with the popular and addictive game,  Bubble Witch Saga for iPhone & Android by King.com, you will know the common scene on every single level – 3 stereotypical Ugly Witches (warts and all), stirring a bubbling mixture in a steamy cauldron.   Cue DD#2…….

ME:  *wasting time playing silly game instead of doing a million more important things*

ME:  *growing increasingly frustrated that I can’t complete the next level in said silly game*

DD#2:  What are you doing Mummy?

ME:  Just playing a silly game.

DD#2:  What are they doing Mummy?    *points to witches*

ME:  Stirring the Magic Pot!

DD#2:  No, what’s those ones doing?

ME:  They’re all stirring the Magic Pot…..

DD#2:  No they’re NOT Mummy!   *points to middle witch*……SHE is stirring the Magic Pot……  Those ones are standing around doing nothing!

 

She’s obviously heard that line before and has registered that it doesn’t impress The Boss much – Funny, ‘cos it’s true :)
